Next weekend, Essen will once again be the setting for a magnificent event: The popular street festival “Project Rüttenscheid” will take place for the third time in 2025 and promises a celebration of diversity and culture. For everyone who appreciates electronic sounds, there will be a container stage on Friday with international DJs who will captivate the crowd from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Things really get going on Saturday, June 28th! The almost 1,000 meter stretch of road is transformed into a musical paradise, as the event opens at 11 a.m. and runs until midnight. A highlight are the six stages, which offer a colorful program from different music genres such as hip hop, indie, house, techno, pop, 80s rock, rockabilly and even hits. Particular attention is paid to the E.ON Powerstage, which moves to Martinstrasse to accommodate more visitors, as well as an additional stage on Grugaplatz for fans of electronic music.

With a focus on youth culture, the “Project Rüttenscheid” is more than just an event for young people – it offers a cross-generational program.
