Three friends from Haltern rock the Carbage Run for a good cause!

An exciting adventure under the sign of social responsibility: Three friends from Haltern - Ralf Berheide, Stefan Feldhaus and Willi Büning - are taking part in the unique Carbage Run 2025, a rally that takes place from August 24th to 28th and leads through the picturesque landscapes of Bosnia and Serbia. The brave adventurers set out at the start with a vehicle that is at least 20 years old and costs a maximum of 1,000 euros, not only to cover long distances, but also to collect donations for the children's and youth hospice service in the Coesfeld district. “We would like to support children and youth hospice work with this campaign,” says the team, which goes by the name @halternhelpskidz will report on her experiences on Instagram.

The friends prepared for the challenge with great enthusiasm. Despite their limited knowledge of automotive technology, they are determined to help each other and live out their spirit of adventure until the last minute. 450 participants are expected this year, so a lot of like-minded people who will not only rack up kilometers but also collect points in bizarre challenges. The Carbage Run primarily offers tours off the beaten track, which makes the experience all the more exciting.

A project with heart

Participants are encouraged to choose original cars that attract attention and thus ideally implement the rules of the rally. In addition to the adventure character, there is no emphasis on speed, but rather on creativity and fun. “Breakdowns are part of the experience,” the friends report, and there is no technical service. The participants receive support from their fellow adventurers, which particularly strengthens the team spirit and cohesion.

The main purpose of their participation in the Carbage Run is to support the Children's and youth hospice service. The friends are happy about any donation that can be transferred to the outpatient service:
