A 23-year-old pedestrian was hit by a car around 6:40 p.m. as she wanted to cross the street at Schmemannstrasse. The driver of the vehicle, a 56-year-old Mercedes driver, was traveling towards the city center and was unable to brake in time to avoid the collision. After the accident, the seriously injured woman was taken to hospital.
