Gütersloh in mourning: Chief physician Krause-Bergmann is retiring!

A turning point for plastic and aesthetic surgery in Gütersloh: Dr. Albrecht Krause-Bergmann, a much-esteemed chief physician, is retiring after many years. Under his leadership, the section for plastic, aesthetic and hand surgery at the Gütersloh Clinic has not only made significant progress, but has also introduced many new treatment focuses. For example, care close to home for patients with skin cancer has been significantly improved. In addition, he has further developed hand surgery and established treatments for patients with lipedema. He has received several awards for his services, including the Focus seal for his medical work.

The clinic's managing director, Maud Beste, praises Krause-Bergmann's vision and his reputation in the region. “He demonstrated tireless dedication and introduced innovative procedures that served not only aesthetics but also medical necessity,” she explains. Throughout his career, Krause-Bergmann has always focused on finding modern treatment approaches and combining them with close collaboration with the certified oncology center. The expansion of tumor surgery in the facial area and lymph node surgery also fall within his area of responsibility.

A look at the successes

The section developed under Krause-Bergmann offers a wide range of surgical procedures, from reconstructive and aesthetic surgery to hand surgery and burn surgery. Aesthetic plastic surgery, which includes procedures on the face such as face lifts or eyelid lifts, as well as body contouring, i.e. liposuction and tightening, is particularly fascinating.

  • Wiederherstellende Chirurgie
  • Ästhetische Chirurgie
  • Handchirurgie
  • Verbrennungschirurgie

The section's special expertise in treating obesity patients after weight loss has helped many people to make positive changes in their lives. And also the team around Krause-Bergmann, including Dr. med. Iris Held and Prof. Dr. med. Peter Leonard Stollwerck made a significant contribution to the success of the clinic.

New blood is ready

Krause-Bergmann's successor, Wolfram Demmer, comes from the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and started working at the Gütersloh Clinic in July. It can be expected that he will continue the successful work in the section and provide new impetus to meet the needs of the patients. The town hall can therefore look to the future with peace of mind.

Finally, it remains to be said that Mr. Krause-Bergmann not only excelled in his professional activities, but also volunteered in India, where he was able to help people with cleft jaws and palates as well as serious injuries. This holistic view of plastic surgery makes it clear that the procedures are not just about beauty, but also about quality of life and restoration in a comprehensive sense.
