City marketing has developed its own solutions to maintain the festive character and find alternative locations for the stalls on Rathausplatz and Linnenbauerplatz. Another interesting detail is the relocation of the popular curling rink. This will no longer be located at Rathausplatz, but rather at Münsterkirchplatz. The consent of the Herford-Mitte-Land parish has already been given, so this snow-covered fun is also secured. Unfortunately, the plans for the flying Santa Claus had to make do without him this year, but the anticipation of the festive atmosphere remains unbroken.

Things will be particularly sporty on December 13, 2025, when curling takes place at the Herford Christmas market. Families, friends and work colleagues can take part in this social activity from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The facilities not only include a curling rink, but also a cozy area with a wooden hut and plenty of seating and standing space.
