As part of the “Jump over the Emscher” project, it was implemented with a modern architectural concept designed by Schüßler-Plan Ingenieurgesellschaft, DKFS and Smeets Landschaftsarchitekten. With a width of five meters more than the old bridge from 1912, which was no longer able to withstand loads, the new bridge will be safe and comfortable for all users.
