Holiday action for kids: adventures at summer camp in the Netherlands!

What could be better than spending your summer holidays with new adventures and unforgettable experiences? There are two exciting leisure activities available this year for children between the ages of 9 and 13. The first will soon start looking for the perfect place in Dongen, Noord-Brabant, in the Netherlands. From August 11th to 22nd, 2025 it’s time: Let’s go!

The Animal Welfare Youth NRW has prepared a diverse program that has a lot to offer the young participants. In addition to bathing fun at the nearby lake and in the swimming pool, an exciting day trip to the North Sea is on the agenda. A visit to the Loonse en Drunense Duinen nature reserve, where nature can be discovered up close, completes the experience. The children can also try out their baking skills in the Bakkerijmuseum and visit a traditional cheese farm. A special highlight is the survival tour, which promotes adventure and team spirit.

Accommodation and costs

The accommodation is in a bright, spacious group house with 4-bed rooms that offer all comforts and private bathrooms. The large lounge area and an outdoor area with a playground, volleyball court, football pitch, table tennis table, mini golf course and even a small forest ensure fun and games. The participation fee for this exciting week is 490 euros, which includes accommodation and meals as well as the varied program and travel from/to Herne. Grants and discounts are also possible - it's worth asking!

For everyone in the age group of 13 to 18, there is already another great option: from July 26th to August 10th we are going to Sweden! Here, young people can look forward to a typical red Swedish house right on Lake Gussjön, where they can experience several activities such as swimming, canoeing and hiking in the Jätturn nature reserve.

The children are cared for around the clock by experienced team members. Anyone who is also looking for a great place for the autumn holidays will also find what they are looking for: from October 11th to 18th, 2025, a former rectory in Hesse is on the program for children between 6 and 10 years old. Here, among other things, the treetop path is explored and stick bread is baked - always full of activity and fun!
