Summer is in full swing in Geldern and that means the popular holiday games will soon begin! From August 4th to 22nd, 2025, Geldern children have the opportunity to take part in exciting activities. There is good news for all those who don't have tickets yet: there are still tickets available. Up to 450 children can be looked after on a weekly basis, which relieves parents of having to worry about planning their holidays. The holiday games offer a varied program that is characterized by sporting and creative activities.
Program times are Monday to Friday, 9:15 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Registration and ticket collection take place at the “check point” youth center at Kapuzinerstraße 34. If you would like to register, you can do so by telephone at 02831/2646. Attractive prices for all families
Participation in the holiday games is possible at an affordable price. Here is an overview of the costs:
- 1 Woche: 35 Euro
- 2 Wochen: 60 Euro
- 3 Wochen: 80 Euro
The prices are significantly reduced, especially for families with social support: one week only costs 10 euros, two weeks 20 euros and three weeks 30 euros. Participation is also free for the third child in a family. Fully included in the price are bus transfers, a warm lunch with dessert and entrance fees for two excursions per week, which should make the holiday games a completely carefree experience.
The youth and family department of the city of Geldern is responsible for organizing the holiday games. The care is aimed at school children aged 6 to 12 and thus offers a safe and entertaining time for the little ones.
