Leverkusen Art Night 2025: 75 places that bring art to life!
On Friday, October 10th, Leverkusen will become a venue for creative diversity, as the 21st Leverkusen Art Night is just around the corner. The ceremonial opening takes place in the picturesque Morsbroich Castle, where the event kicks off at 6 p.m. Across the city, over 80 groups, clubs and institutions show their works of art, from visual art to performances and installations.
The art night promises to be an unforgettable experience for art lovers of all ages. The doors of numerous locations open from 6 p.m. so that visitors can wander through studios, galleries, cafés and even churches. Visitors can look forward to a bike tour through the art night, which begins at the entrance to the castle. This tour is up to 20 kilometers long and is ideal for anyone who wants to explore Leverkusen's art scene in a sporty way. Registrations are possible via the ADFC website.
Insight into the event offering
The art night offers a colorful range of what Leverkusen has to offer. In Alkenrath, for example, the Flex Space at Nikolaus-Groß-Straße 24 opens its doors with artists such as Özgür, aka “El Rico7”, and Tomek Buncol presenting their works. The signs are also all about art in Bergisch Neukirchen: in the Old Town Hall, 20 local artists are showing their work spread over three floors. Another highlight is the exhibition “Silent Cut” in the St. Peter’s Church in Bürrig, which deals with “changes that you don’t notice, but only notice when your eyes widen.”
In Hitdorf, the “Flow Fine Art Gallery” attracts visitors with exhibitions by Dieter Laue and other well-known artists. The goldsmith Drösser in Küppersteg has guest artist Gila Abutalebi visiting, who provides the first insight into her creative world. Furthermore, there is a painting course at the ATS meeting place in Lützenkirchen that is aimed at people of all ages - motto: "Su simmer all he hinjekumme. I speak hück all the same language." In Opladen, those interested can look forward to the comprehensive exhibition “COLLECTIVISM IX”, which combines music, paintings and even AI elements.
Additional innovations
New this year is the Kunstnacht app, which enables visitors to digitally navigate through the various exhibitions and events. This handy app provides information about opening times, addresses and even accessibility. An advertising column gallery brings art to the street, making the event even more accessible. The Sparkasse Leverkusen and Wupsi, among others, are helping to organize and support the event. The entire program overview can be found on the official website www.kunstnacht-leverkusen.de and on Instagram.
Last year the art night attracted around 20,000 visitors, and great interest is expected this time too. The event extends across the entire city, from Hitdorf via Bürrig to Schlebusch, and promises art enthusiasts an unforgettable evening that will make hearts beat faster. So, let’s go to the Art Night in Leverkusen – there’s something coming up!
