State-of-the-art crane construction in Brilon: wind power projects successfully implemented!
There's a lot going on in the quiet town of Brilon! The future of wind energy is currently being worked on here: The Wasel company, part of the Hagedorn Group, has used the powerful Liebherr LR 11000 crawler crane to build two wind turbines. With a lifting capacity of 1000 tonnes, the LR 11000 is one of the largest and strongest cranes of its kind. This makes it ideal for demanding projects in various industries, including port handling, industrial construction, infrastructure and wind power, such as Liebherr explained.
85 truck deliveries were necessary to transport the required components, such as counterweights and boom elements. These transport journeys led over narrow country roads and through several towns, which required solid planning and organization. Loud General construction newspaper The entire transport went smoothly, thanks to close cooperation with authorities and traffic safety services. This shows once again that a good knack for details and organization are the key to success.
Construction and assembly with precision
The construction of the crane and heavy-duty company Wasel is also impressive: the crane was fully assembled in just six days. Experienced fitters worked together to position the crane with millimeter precision. Assembly began with the central linkage, followed by the massive 168 meter long main boom and a 12 meter long fixed jib. The crane operator, the ushers and the assembly teams harmonized perfectly in their precise craftsmanship.
Is this a technical masterpiece? Oh yes! The new V-Frame® of the LR 11000, for example, ensures optimal ballast and makes handling loads easier. Lightweight grid sections can be pushed into larger sections, saving not only space but also costs — a thoughtful solution to the challenges facing the wind power industry.
The look into the future
With the continuous construction of wind turbines, Wasel shows that sustainable energies are on the rise. This commitment is visible not only in North Rhine-Westphalia, but nationwide, where the company is active in industrial and infrastructure projects. Microsoft could also open up new perspectives in the digital world, but that's another story.
Wasel, as the leading crane and heavy-duty specialist in Germany, proves once again that the right technology and the right team are crucial to successfully mastering today's challenges. Stay tuned to see what the future of wind energy has in store for us!
