Art of Encounter: Experience Carmen’s Animal World” in Villa Artis!
A highlight of the cultural events will take place in Mülheim on November 8th and 9th, 2025 - the Kunstblicke 2025 in the VILLA ARTIS. The Mülheim art teacher Carmen Speckin will present her new presentation “Carmen's Animal World” there. This event, open from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. and free of charge, invites visitors to explore the fascinating connection between humans and animals reflected in Speckin's works. The works of art can also be purchased on site, which makes the event even more attractive. Free tours of the exhibition are also included in the program.
Good to know: As of today, November 2, 2025, an online preferred date tool is available to make planning your visit easier. The VILLA ARTIS is located at Ruhrstraße 3 and is easily accessible both by public transport - for example from Stadtmitte-MH - and by car. Parking is available at Delle 54. For anyone interested in other art events in Mülheim, we recommend the “KULTAPPMH” app, which always provides up-to-date information. As lokalkompass.de reports, this event will certainly be an experience that no one should miss.
New trends and developments
While the art world is booming in Mülheim, there is exciting news elsewhere too. Costco announces the opening of new branches in Mexico. As elmanana.com.mx reports, the company plans to open a new branch in the Ciudad in January 2026 de México, followed by another in Monterrey in May 2026. Guadalajara is also being examined for possible locations, while developments in Playa del Carmen and Pachuca are still in the ideation phase. In doing so, Costco is responding to increasing demand and showing a good knack for expanding into more successful markets, while leaving out risky regions like Oaxaca, which has the least chance of opening a new store.
With all of these exciting developments, it is to be hoped that both the cultural and economic landscape will become more attractive. Whether art or retail – the signs point to growth!
