Summertime is event time: In Oberhausen, summer is celebrated with a colorful range of exciting events. The “Summer Moments” event program in the popular Westfield Centro invites all guests to indulge themselves until August 23rd. A fireworks display of culinary delights and special live events await you here, providing the best entertainment. The promenade becomes a setting for unforgettable experiences.
The program is diverse! From tasty aperitifs to hearty meals – the cafés and restaurants on the promenade provide culinary delights with their offerings. You can say that all the catering establishments here have a good hand for the summer months. To further encourage visitors, there are “exclusive benefits and trial prices” that shouldn’t be missed.
Light and mood in August
A special highlight are the spectacular fire and laser shows that will take place on three weekends in August: namely on the 8th and 9th, the 15th and 16th and the 22nd and 23rd. Everything starts at 9.30 p.m. or 10 p.m. in the water basin in front of the Three Sixty restaurant. The atmosphere is perfectly set off by pretty lanterns and fairy lights along the promenade, making the summer night an unforgettable experience.
Another event that you shouldn't miss is the “Girls' Clothes & Mrs. Herrmann” flea market on August 9th on Luise-Albertz-Platz from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Here you can get great second-hand items or simply browse around. On August 23rd, the “Ruhrperle Pop-Up Art and Design Market” invites all art and design lovers to discover creative exhibitors in the region from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. Admission to these events is free!
Culinary delights in a class of their own
But it's not just the events, the culinary offerings are also a hit! During the tasting moments, guests can feast on a variety of dishes. From a schnitzel bowl for around €16.90 to the vegan MoschPoké bowl with drink for €14.75 – the selection is huge. There are also numerous cocktail specials that provide a refreshing way to cool off.
