The anticipation for the St. Martin's Day parades in the Olpe district is increasing! The tradition of lantern walking begins on November 3rd, 2025, which will once again attract many young and old into the fresh air this year. In the coming days there will be great St. Martin's parades taking place in various places in the district, which are characterized not only by a sparkling sea of lanterns, but also by the good mood of the participants.
The SauerlandKurier reports that families and circles of friends can look forward to St. Martin's Day on November 7th, 8th and 9th and the following days. The smaller and larger St. Martin's parades are always a welcome opportunity to meet the neighborhood and celebrate together. A special highlight is the call from the SauerlandKurier to send in the most beautiful lanterns. The creative minds have until November 12th to present their works of art.
