Four men arrested after failed burglary in Neuss!

In Neuss, an attempted break-in into a craftsman's van was thwarted on the evening of November 9th. Four men between the ages of 20 and 43 were arrested thanks to an attentive witness. At around 11:20 p.m. on Roentgenstrasse he observed the men breaking a window and alerted the police. The perpetrators fled in a blue Opel Astra station wagon, which was driven by an accomplice.

However, the escape turns out to be more complicated than planned: While the driver tried to get away from the crime scene, he collided with several parked cars and even damaged a patrol car. After the driver fled on foot, he was finally caught by police officers. Evidence was also found among those arrested that points to another break-in - they had previously broken into another van and stolen various tools.

How it all began

The perpetrators had forcibly gained access to a Ford Transit by drilling a hole in the sliding door and using tin snips to break the lock. Witnesses who may have further information about the incident are asked to contact the Criminal Police Office 14 on 02131 300-0 or by email to poststelle.rhein-kreis-neuss@polizei.nrw.de. This criminal activity had to be stopped decisively in order to ensure safety in the area.

In another area that many people in Cologne and beyond are concerned with, accident prevention in sport is of great importance. Every year around 2 million people in Germany are injured while playing sports. Club sports such as football and handball are particularly affected, with players often suffering injuries due to their own behavior or lack of skills. A comprehensive prevention strategy could help to significantly reduce the number of these sports accidents by focusing on basic exercises, strengthening and stabilization. This means that not only foot and knee injuries, but also head and hand injuries can be better avoided.

Technological support in sport

Another exciting topic that comes into the discussion about safety in sports is the technical improvement of sports equipment. The Runners' lab in Belgium, the leading running specialist, relies on innovative technologies such as dynamic footscan® to improve athletic performance and prevent injuries. With over 40 years of experience in this area, Runners' lab not only provides orthopedic solutions, but also supports the digital marketing of sports products, which significantly promotes the dissemination of information about safe sports.

Whether it's fighting crime on the streets of Neuss or preventing injuries in sport - promoting safety and raising awareness of possible dangers is essential. It is up to all of us to take responsibility and be mindful to promote wellness in our community.
