22 new trainees are starting their careers in the Unna district administration!
On August 1, 2025, 22 new trainees started their professional careers in the Unna district administration. This ceremonial opening took place in the historic Bauhaus of the Haus Opherdicke Museum, where district director Philipp Reckermann welcomed the prospective skilled workers. The trainees not only received their appointment certificates, but also a first insight into their future tasks in the public service. Unna district reports that the new generation of trainees covers a variety of professions that are essential to the efficiency of the administration.
From district secretary candidates to IT specialists – the training options are diverse. Ali-Enes Aksu from Hamm and Dilan Cifci from Soest, among others, are making their contribution as district secretary candidates. In the category of administrative assistants we can count on faces like Dario Groer from Kamen and Luisa Rüschenschmidt from Holzwickede. In the technical sector there is also a new road guard, Sebastian Fuchs from Lippstadt, and an aspiring surveyor, Dennis Spinczyk from Waltrop. Limburg-Weilburg district highlights that for many of these professions, training positions are usually advertised towards the end of the school year and the relevant information is available both online and in the local press.
A celebratory introductory week
As part of an introductory event last week, the new trainees heard numerous lectures and took part in a tour of the district. This first impression should not only clarify the organizational processes, but also prepare the trainees well for the practical part of their training. Representatives of the administration, such as head of department Christian Scholz and the training managers, wished the new trainees good luck and a good hand in their future careers.
In the coming years, the trainees will not only acquire theoretical knowledge, but also gain practical experience at various institutions. For example, Pia Rosenthal from Hamm will start her preparatory service to become a district environmental inspector candidate in December. This shows how broad the training opportunities are in the public service.
A look into the future
The Unna district administration sees itself not only as a training provider and would also like to promote new talent in the future. How Municipal Forum discussed, the public sector is one of the most stable employers in Germany. Here you can enjoy a secure working relationship and a wide range of opportunities for advancement, which makes training in the public service particularly attractive. The district administration is already looking for new trainees for the summer of 2026. Anyone who is interested should find out about the online applicant management system in good time and upload the necessary documents.
The requirements for an application are clear: This includes a letter of application, a CV in the form of a table, evidence and certificates of school training and, if necessary, internship certificates. Interested? Further information can be found directly from the district administration or on the district's homepage.
The chances are good that the new trainees will enrich our circle with fresh enthusiasm. At a time when the search for qualified personnel in many areas is becoming an increasing challenge, the district administration attaches great importance to training talented and motivated young people.
