22 new trainees are starting their careers in the Unna district administration!

On August 1, 2025, 22 new trainees started their professional careers in the Unna district administration. This ceremonial opening took place in the historic Bauhaus of the Haus Opherdicke Museum, where district director Philipp Reckermann welcomed the prospective skilled workers. The trainees not only received their appointment certificates, but also a first insight into their future tasks in the public service. From district secretary candidates to IT specialists – the training options are diverse. Ali-Enes Aksu from Hamm and Dilan Cifci from Soest, among others, are making their contribution as district secretary candidates. In the technical sector there is also a new road guard, Sebastian Fuchs from Lippstadt, and an aspiring surveyor, Dennis Spinczyk from Waltrop. A celebratory introductory week

As part of an introductory event last week, the new trainees heard numerous lectures and took part in a tour of the district. This first impression should not only clarify the organizational processes, but also prepare the trainees well for the practical part of their training. Representatives of the administration, such as head of department Christian Scholz and the training managers, wished the new trainees good luck and a good hand in their future careers.

In the coming years, the trainees will not only acquire theoretical knowledge, but also gain practical experience at various institutions. For example, Pia Rosenthal from Hamm will start her preparatory service to become a district environmental inspector candidate in December. This shows how broad the training opportunities are in the public service.
