Minister Laumann talks about care and health in Dingden!

An exciting event will take place in Dingden on Thursday, August 14, 2025: Karl-Josef Laumann, Minister for Labor and Health in North Rhine-Westphalia, will visit the St. Josef House. The CDU chairman Norbert Neß is pleased about the quickly fixed alternative date after the originally planned event on August 12th had to be canceled at short notice. From 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., Laumann will give an insight into the work of the seniors' facility and then talk to citizens about central topics such as health and care.

Anyone interested is cordially invited to join in the discussion with Laumann from 4:30 p.m. in the hall next to the chapel of St. Josef House. The participants also include CDU mayoral candidate Sascha Lippe, district administrator Ingo Brohl and state parliament member Charlotte Quik, who will give the closing remarks. Admission to the discussion event on August 12th at 7:00 p.m., also in the St. Josef House, is free and no registration is required.

Discussion topic: Shared responsibility for city and country

At Tuesday's event, Laumann will speak about important issues affecting our society. The motto “Joint responsibility for city and country” is about care with dignity, medical care in the country and intergenerational coexistence. “Especially in rural regions, we have to set the course for better health care,” emphasizes Laumann. It's no secret that healthcare challenges are becoming ever more present.

Germany is not alone; Health systems around the world are struggling with similar challenges. As the bpb reported, health systems include organizations and resources to maintain or restore population health. In Germany, the health system is organized in a social health insurance system, which is subject to various influencing factors.

With a solid proportion of 89% of the population in statutory health insurance, care is ensured through contributions from the insured and the employer. The contribution rate is made up of a general contribution rate and a fund-specific additional contribution, which represents an important basis for financing our healthcare structure.

Commitment of the CDU in Hamminkeln

The CDU Hamminkeln has taken up the cause of expanding outpatient care and improving the conditions for nursing staff. In addition, the strengthening of voluntary work is being further promoted, which is also a central topic in the current discussion. Norbert Neß and his colleagues are committed to more support for people who work in the health and care sector every day.

This round of discussions promises not only enlightenment, but also a lively exchange about what really matters to the people in our region. “We have to find solutions together and take responsibility,” concluded Laumann.

Citizens are invited to actively participate and bring their questions and ideas into the discussions in order to help shape the future of our healthcare landscape.
