On June 28, 2025, the cultural city of Worms was transformed at this year's 17th Worms Culture Night into a pulsating center of creativity. Around 2,800 visitors attended as 33 municipal and private cultural institutions, restaurants and local retailers offered a diverse program of art, music and theater. This event, which has been very popular every year since 2007, shows the cultural diversity of Worms and appeals to both cultural workers and those interested in art.

Under the motto “(First) off to the museum,” visitors were able to enjoy free entry to various museums with their Culture Night ticket. The opening took place ceremoniously by Mayor Adolf Kessel in the Trinity Church. The locations, such as the inner courtyard of St. Martin's Church, the Dominican monastery and the roof terrace of the WORMSERS, met with great enthusiasm.

Diverse program and highlights

The cultural night program was a feast for the eyes: exhibitions, readings, concerts and even city tours were part of the event. The gastronomy around the culture night opened its doors to visitors and offered delicacies such as pizza, pasta, ice cream and snacks. This culinary offering, coupled with extended opening hours, contributed to the festive atmosphere.

Various contributions provided musical entertainment, creating a good atmosphere in the city center. A notable replacement was the performance of BARDUO, who more than skillfully compensated for the Wormser Liederkranz's absence due to illness. PASCAMELIE also stepped in for Break Even Point's canceled show at WORMSER - a successful improvisation that delighted the audience.

Support and organization

The event was organized by Kultur und Veranstaltungs GmbH (KVG) and received helpful support from Jakob Jost GmbH, Rheinhessen Sparkasse and Volksbank Alzey-Worms eG, as well as from the Wirtschaftsfördergesellschaft Worms mbH. These partners made a significant contribution to the smooth running of the evening, which fortunately passed without any notable incidents.

Worms remains a popular place for culture not only because of such events, but also uses every opportunity to promote popular and subcultures. Anyone who would like to offer a program item has the opportunity to take part in this event. This is reflected in the fact that local actors and artists always find a forum to present their talents and create a unique experience for visitors.

The Culture Night has perfectly integrated itself into the long tradition of cultural events in Worms, which also includes the Nibelungen Festival and the jazz festival “Worms: Jazz & Joy”. Such events not only make the city more attractive for locals, but also for visitors from the surrounding regions and beyond.
