Art and culture for everyone: KuKuK in Kandel is planning an exciting 2026!
A colorful mix of events awaits those interested in culture in Kandel in 2026. The Association for Art and Culture in Kandel, better known as KuKuK, has presented its program with a total of 14 events that offer something for every taste. Whether it's a crime dinner, concerts or theater performances - you're guaranteed not to be bored here. As the Rhine Palatinate reports, the team around chairmen Corinna Schneiderfritz, Marcus Wilm and Sabine Aufdermauer is faced with the challenge of gaining many supporters for the implementation of the program.
The events, which also take place in various, partly private locations, are extremely popular. The crime thriller dinner on February 28th in the Koch restaurant and the satirical annual review of “Uncle Fisch” on January 16th in the Kultursaal are popular. The guest SAP Symphony Orchestra on March 14th in the Bienwaldhalle also promises very special musical moments, with the net proceeds going to the Kandel community.
Diverse program for everyone
In May, visitors can look forward to an unusual trip to Karlsruhe with the Comedy Kult(o)ur bus. Another highlight will be the station theater “Kandel, you are in my heart,” which will be performed around the Schwanenweiher on four days in June. Anyone who would like to be on stage themselves can join the station theater. The club is looking for theater enthusiasts of all ages for whom stage experience is not absolutely necessary. Those interested can find further information on the KuKuK website.
Preparations for the 30th anniversary of the KuKuK in 2027 are already in full swing. The team will set the course for the upcoming celebration at the next annual general meeting on April 29th. The presentation of the event plan for 2027 is also planned for autumn 2026, and all members are invited to take part.
Support from the region
How important the support of local companies is for cultural life is also shown by the fact that membership fees and ticket sales are not enough to cover the costs. Funding plays a crucial role in this. In Germany, the federal government is primarily responsible for financing cultural projects. Every year it invests around 2 billion euros in the art and culture scene, which accounts for a good 17% of total expenditure in this area. The German volunteer work gives numerous incentives and tips on how cultural projects can be supported at local, regional and national levels.
It becomes clear that art and culture in Kandel are not just a matter of enjoyment, but also contribute to the quality of life and social interaction. A strong cultural offering is the key to lively coexistence in the community - and this requires the support of every individual.
