New hidden object book shows the Palatinate: discover, be amazed, have fun!
On October 27, 2025 the time has finally come: the second volume of the popular Pfalz hidden object book series by Stefan Hitschler will see the light of day. After the great success of the first book, which already sparked international enthusiasm, the English version is now also available under the title “Wimmelbook Palatinate”. The illustrator Diana Lazaru has once again filled the pages with life with her fine strokes. The new volume offers a playful tour of discovery through the Palatinate on 16 detailed pages.
In this hidden object book, Hitschler shows highlights from well-known places such as Zweibrücken, Kusel, Trippstadt and Neustadt. The reader can look forward to exploring the Kleine Kalmit, Lichtenberg Castle and the Hördter Rheinaue, among other things. The highlight is certainly the humorous liver sausage hunt, which reflects the typical Palatinate joie de vivre and makes the reader smile. Other characters in the book include local celebrities, such as the painter Max Slevogt, and imaginative elements such as Elwetritsche, who further enrich the experience. Stories like these make the book the perfect companion for the whole family to discover and tell stories together.
Success and support
The idea for a hidden object book about the Palatinate came because there was no such work before, says Hitschler. This drove the author to look back two years at his first publication, which was also a complete success. The first volume, “We're swarming through the Palatinate,” contains beautiful hidden-object pictures of sights such as the Landau weekly market and the Limburg monastery ruins and was in demand far beyond German borders.
The support from the Palatinate District Association and the ZukunftsRegion Westpfalz e.V. association gave the project the necessary tailwind. Particularly noteworthy is the target group of over 60,000 Americans in the Kaiserslautern area, which led to the publication of an English edition. Hitschler emphasizes that this is a wonderful opportunity to present the beauty of the Palatinate to an international audience.
A journey through the Palatinate
The new hidden object book is not only an entertaining reading experience, but also an invitation to discover the Palatinate in all its diversity. Each page brings a different piece of this beautiful region to life, from the grass racing track in Zweibrücken to the Straw Hat Festival in Frankenthal. Whether you are interested in the charming everyday stories or the fascinating sights - here everyone will find something to laugh, be amazed and really feel the heart of the Palatinate.
The second volume of the hidden object book series is definitely a must-have for anyone who loves the Palatinate or would like to get to know it. Before the new tour of discovery begins, you can get the previous book in the Pfalzshop and experience the first pages of the Palatinate joie de vivre.
For all those who want to do a good deal, there is now the opportunity to experience the hidden object book series in both language versions. Whether in German or English, these books are guaranteed to awaken your desire to explore the Palatinate.
