In the late evening hours of Monday, July 7th, an unusual incident occurred on the A6 near Kaiserslautern. A telescopic cutter that was apparently lost by an unknown driver caused significant damage to another vehicle. The incident happened around 10 p.m. in the direction of Mannheim, between the Kaiserslautern-West junction and the Kaiserslautern triangle. During an overtaking maneuver, a vehicle driver ran over the tool part, which ultimately led to a tank leak.
After driving over the telescopic cutter, the driver noticed that his car was now damaged. The crystallization of the accident became clear when he discovered the almost empty fuel tank at home, which had been badly damaged by the unfortunate collision. The estimated damage is around 2,000 euros. A police team later discovered the lost telescopic cutter on the hard shoulder of the motorway and took it away to secure it. Now the officials are looking for the perpetrator and are asking for information on 0631 36911899, as the Rheinpfalz reports.
