An attentive witness noticed suspicious noises that suggested an electric saw was being used to remove a bicycle lock. With a quick reaction, the officers were able to identify two men on bicycles who, when spotted by the police, ran away and fled through a fence onto the Winkler & Dünnbier company premises.

As part of the search, one of the suspects, a 34-year-old man from the Westerwald, was caught by the police. The arrested man did not provide any information about the crime, while the owner of one of the stolen bicycles has already been identified.
