Singing strengthens the soul: Stroke Aid invites you to a singing group in LU!

Something is happening in Ludwigshafen in November! The Stroke Aid invites you to a singing group that will take place on Monday, November 10th, 2025, at 3:30 p.m. in the Schiller-Wohnstift, Kapellengasse 25. Under the motto “When the wild winds storm,” autumnal songs and canons are on the program. This initiative aims to improve participants' breathing, voice and speech while maintaining social connections. MRN News reports that Participation is open to stroke patients, relatives, friends and all singing enthusiasts - without any prior knowledge!

By singing together, the organizers not only want to support health promotion, but also bring back joy of life and motivation. Under the direction of Markus Braun, who has a good hand in designing the course with his piano accompanist Ulrike Braun, both experienced music teachers, the singing group becomes a meeting point for everyone who wants to learn more about themselves and how to use their voice and language. Your involvement is free of charge and participation in the group is free of charge.

The value of support groups

An important aspect of this singing group is the opportunity for self-help it provides. As well as can be read on the German Stroke Aid website, self-help groups offer an excellent opportunity for those affected to exchange ideas and find solutions to their problems together. Regular meetings promote social contact and help break isolation.

Singing and sharing together not only promotes your own recovery, but also strengthens the sense of community among the participants. So if you want to let your voice be heard and perhaps make new acquaintances, you definitely shouldn't miss the opportunity!
