Attention, Fernsehengarten fans! Kiewel is missing due to airspace closure!
The fans of “ZDF- Fernsehengarten” have to do without their usual presenter today. Andrea Kiewel cannot travel to Mainz due to an airspace closure in Israel, which ZDF officially confirmed on Saturday morning. In the motto program “Kiwi's 25th anniversary”, Joachim Llambi and Lutz van der Horst will take over the moderation from 12 p.m. The two were originally scheduled to be guests, but now they face the challenge of hosting the famous live show. However, Kiewel is not completely out of the race yet, as there are considerations for a live broadcast or a pre-recorded video message. Joachim Llambi expressed optimism that Kiewel might still be able to contribute, which will certainly give the audience hope.
With this season, Andrea Kiewel is celebrating her 25th season on “ZDF- Fernsehengarten”, which has been very popular with viewers since its first broadcast on June 29, 1986. Kiewel has been part of the moderation team of the popular show since 2000 and has won a permanent place in the hearts of the audience. Some well-known guests have announced themselves for the anniversary broadcast: Katja Ebstein, Marianne Rosenberg, Peter Schilling, Eko Fresh, Johnny Logan, Guildo Horn, Tom Gaebel and Marquess will enrich the entertainment program.
A look behind the scenes
The show not only has many fans, but also a small army of around 130 team members who work behind the scenes. This Sunday, 10 to 12 studio cameras and 5 to 8 HD finger cameras will be used to perfectly capture the atmosphere on the site. Over 70 daylight spotlights ensure that everything is put into perspective, while the number of spectators on the site varies between 5,000 and 6,000. In total, around 100,000 live viewers come each season who appreciate the unique format.
The current season of “ZDF- Fernsehengarten” started on May 4th and runs until the end of September with a total of 20 editions. The team is prepared for all eventualities and the “TV Garden” is also broadcast with audio description and subtitles so that no viewer misses anything. Despite today's challenges, the show airs at 12 p.m. and offers fans an entertaining program.
