Wild series of vandalism in Pirmasens: Witnesses wanted!
An unpleasant series of incidents causes excitement in the tranquil town of Pirmasens. On Monday, July 21, 2025, a 21-year-old man parked his gray Mercedes on Hillstrasse, only to stumble across unsightly scratches with red paint on the front left fender on Tuesday, July 23. The unknown person responsible for the damage simply ran away - a clear case of hit-and-run that is now calling the police into action. Witnesses are being sought! Weekly reporter reports that...
On the same day, a 62-year-old man reported another incident: His silver Mercedes, parked on Windstrasse on Tuesday, July 22nd, had a dent on the right rear door on Wednesday, July 23rd - presumably caused by a kick. In this case too, the culprit remains unknown. The Pirmasens police urgently ask for your help and are accepting tips on 0631 369-15199 or via email to pipirmasens@polizei.rlp.de.
Vandalism in the region
But Pirmasens is not alone; there are also alarming reports of property damage in the surrounding region. On April 30, 2025, an orange Renault Captur was damaged in Hirtengasse. The owners found dents and scratches on the roof and C-pillar the next morning. The same applies here: the perpetrator or perpetrators are unknown.
A particularly brazen incident occurred on the night of May 2nd to 3rd, 2025, where a trash can in Strecktalpark in Pirmasens was set on fire. The fire department was able to put out the fire, but the damage to property should not be underestimated. Another incident on May 2, 2025 in Rodalben showed that an unknown driver touched the rear door of a properly parked vehicle as he drove past and then also fled. This could have been a black SUV. PS ST reports that…

According to a study by the Federal Criminal Police Office, the number of cases of property damage to motor vehicles recorded by the police in Germany has increased worryingly since 2014. The surveys peaked in 2024, which does not make the situation in cities any easier. A look at the latest statistics published on April 2, 2025 shows that this issue will continue to pose a challenge for the police. Statista shows that...
Pirmasens and his circles are called upon, and witnesses are needed more than ever to curb this trend. The police advise people to be vigilant and actively report any perpetrators. Anyone who sees something can make a moral and practical contribution to the safety of our neighborhood.
