A new chapter begins in the Hunsrück: Jörn Winkhaus, the managing director who has had a decisive influence on the region's tourism development, is retiring. Under his leadership, numerous projects were initiated and successfully implemented. This includes, among other things, sharpening and establishing the Hunsrück's tourist profile, which has made him a key figure in regional promotion. Winkhaus' commitment was not only limited to marketing strategies, but he also actively represented on many committees in order to further advance the region. Collaboration with tourist information centers, institutions and businesses was always important to him, which is reflected in numerous successful joint projects with the neighboring Nahe, Rhine and Moselle regions.
