District cup drama: ASV Schwegenheim wins, FC Speyer 09 clearly loses!
The district cup turned out to be consistently positive for the regional representatives on Wednesday evening. Particularly noteworthy is ASV Schwegenheim, who emerged victorious in the game against FV Heiligenstein with a narrow 1-0 win. Ben Zemann scored the decisive goal, while FV Heiligenstein missed a penalty. Next Sunday at 3 p.m. ASV Schwegenheim will play at home against FSV Schifferstadt III and can look forward to an exciting comparison.
For ASV Speyer, however, things were less pleasant. The team had to admit defeat to SG Böhl-Iggelheim with a clear 0:8. Such defeats are painful, especially in the competition for the district cup.
Successful performances by the other teams
A completely different picture emerged for TuRa Otterstadt. They won against FV 21 Haßloch with a clear 6-0. The goals were scored by Sascha Janson (2), David Binder (2), Ibrahim Maze and Shoaib Barikazi. Such performances give the team a boost and motivation for the next games.
FC Speyer 09 was similarly successful, winning 3-1 in the A-class duel against VfB Haßloch. Pascal Sotow was particularly accurate and contributed two goals to the success. Ahmad Qader scored the third goal, while Lucas Franzreb equalized for Haßloch. The game took place in front of 70 spectators, which shows the support of the fans.
Look at the upcoming games
The next game for FC Speyer 09 is on Sunday at 3 p.m. against Südhaardter SV. The team will give everything to continue the successful series.
ASV Harthausen was also convincing. He won clearly 6-1 against SV Gommersheim, with Johannes Ulrich contributing the first two goals. SV Gommersheim also had to accept two red cards in a difficult game, which further aggravated the situation for them. The rest of the goal was scored by Harthausen substitutes.
There are also more exciting encounters coming up in the coming weeks. RW Speyer and TSV Lingenfeld have to compete against each other on Tuesday, August 19th (7 p.m.). The duel promises its own highlights. For ASV Waldsee, however, the game against VfL Neuhofen will be postponed to Thursday, September 4th due to a lack of staff.
