Fresh & Healthy opens a new restaurant: Green Village” in Trier!
Something is happening in Trier, and not just in the old town! Silvia Farzam, her husband Farridon and brother-in-law Farhad have reopened their restaurant “Fresh & Healthy” in the Gartenfeld district. After a successful move from Trier-West to the former Café Momo at the beginning of 2023, the store now shines in a fresh shine. Around 100,000 euros were invested in the renovation, which was truly worth it. But the next move is already imminent, as the tenancy will soon be ended as the building has been acquired by Sparkasse Trier, which is planning a new branch there.
But don't worry, the Farzam family is adaptable and has already found a new location in Mariahof. “Fresh & Healthy” will soon reopen its doors there and the rental agreement has already been signed. Although the exact date of the move is still up in the air, the anticipation is already palpable.
New project: “Green Village”
But that's not enough! The Farzams also plan to open another eatery called Green Village. This will be found at driveway 8-9 in the location where the Lorenz Kitchen restaurant previously was. Waris Farzam, Farridon's brother, and their cousin Mustafa Farzam will be key players in the new restaurant. Here, guests can expect a tasty range of wraps, bowls and salads - for meat lovers as well as vegans and vegetarians. The official opening of Green Village is scheduled to take place in early August after renovations are complete.
A highlight will certainly be the pop-up stand at the Old Town Festival, where the new dishes will be presented. This will be open from Friday to Sunday, from 12 p.m. to 2 a.m. This gives visitors plenty of opportunity to try the delicious creations!
Afghan delicacies in focus
What makes the cuisine at “Fresh & Healthy” so special? Afghan cuisine is known for its spices, meat and fresh vegetables. The classics include dishes such as “Pumpkin Afghan Style”, in which tender pumpkin is served with spices and yoghurt, or the popular “Qorma”, a tasty soup made from lamb, tomatoes and onions. “Qabili Pilau”, an aromatic rice with raisins and nuts, is also one of the delicacies that will soon be served to guests in the “Green Village”.
For anyone who likes to go into the kitchen themselves, there are numerous recipes from Afghan cuisine that you can try out. From lamb dishes to sophisticated rice preparations and savory pastries, there is something for everyone.
The new restaurant will also feature a tandoor oven for fresh naan bread and a grill for authentic Afghan grilled meat, which will perfectly round off the culinary experience.
The coming months promise an exciting culinary journey for the people of Trier, and the Farzams definitely have a good hand for their gastronomic adventures!
