Experience the Lafayette: Open Day on the Rhine and Main!

Next week, cruise enthusiasts can take part in a special event in several cities along the Rhine and Main: Croisi Europe cordially invites you to an open ship day on the Lafayette. This is not only an opportunity to tour the five-anchor ship, but also a look behind the scenes of life on board. The event will take place between November 15th and 23rd, 2025 and promises interesting insights into the world of river cruises.

Guests are welcome to explore the ship and learn about the benefits of river travel. Kurt Huber, Managing Director of Croisi Europe, explains: “We are pleased to introduce our ship and the concept of river cruises to the general public.” Admission to the events is free and registration is not required, which is sure to attract many visitors.

Stations of the Lafayette

The Lafayette will make several stops. Here is an overview:

  • Samstag, 15. November: Mainz, Adenauer-Ufer – Hotel Hilton (10:00 bis 17:00 Uhr)
  • Sonntag, 16. November: Frankfurt, Untermainkai Nähe Holbeinsteg (10:00 bis 15:00 Uhr)
  • Donnerstag, 20. November: Worms, neben der Kastanienallee (10:00 bis 17:00 Uhr)

  • Sonntag, 23. November: Speyer, Helmut-Kohl-Ufer (10:00 bis 17:00 Uhr)

These events come just in time, as cruises are still the most popular form of vacation for Germans Statista reported. Around 15 million Germans prefer cruises for their trips, and the industry recovered well last year after the mild Corona years. In 2023, one in three Germans went on a cruise, with ocean cruises being the most popular offer.

Croisi Europe’s anniversary

It's not just the event itself that's remarkable; Croisi Europe will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2026. This will certainly be a highlight for the company and its guests, who will have the opportunity to get to know the Lafayette and the concept of river cruises better this year.

The cruise industry has experienced an eventful history in recent years. In 2020 and 2021 it was severely affected by the corona pandemic, which led to a decline in passenger numbers. But now the industry seems to be back on track, and events like the open house on the Lafayette show the growing interest in cruising.

Visit the Lafayette and find out for yourself why cruises are so popular! Whether it's the high level of comfort, the opportunity to see many destinations or the varied leisure activities on board - the advantages of river and ocean cruises speak for themselves.
