But there is news about shore power supply not only in Rendsburg. In Hamburg-Steinwerder there have also been problems with a similar facility for cruise ships in the recent past. Technical difficulties and a pending delivery of materials mean that the planned use of shore power cannot be pushed forward as planned. Critics, such as the environmental policy spokesman for the left-wing faction Stephan Jersch, express concerns that the original goals for the use of land-based electricity could be missed. Another important point in the region is the upcoming delegate day of the police union (GdP), which will take place on Wednesday and Thursday in Lübeck-Travemünde.
