Last weekend the long-awaited wine festival of the Biberach-Asch shooting club took place in tranquil Biberach. Numerous visitors gathered in the “Haus der Vereine” festival hall to enjoy the autumnal atmosphere in the best weather. As the Augsburger Allgemeine reported that the charitable event not only made the hearts of wine lovers beat faster, but also captivated many families.

The wine festival, which opened on Saturday, September 20th at 7 p.m., offered a diverse program. The Meßhofen music band created an exuberant atmosphere with their performances, while the guests were able to enjoy well-selected wine and delicious delicacies. The invitation to the event appealed primarily to younger and youngest generations. A real highlight were the polkas, pop hits and rock classics that could be heard at the brass band party.

Family-friendly program on Sunday

The Sunday of the wine festival was all about the traditional Schützafeschd. From 11 a.m., the young talents of the community youth band WABB’S showed how much music they have. With a total of five participating music clubs - including Wallenhausen and the Weißenhorn town band - the ensemble offered a modern program that thrilled young and old. The extensive lunch menu and a large cake buffet invited guests to strengthen themselves and exchange ideas in a family atmosphere.

With a heartfelt thank you, the shooting club addressed the numerous visitors, helpers and sponsors who contributed to the successful event. It cannot be overlooked that the anticipation for next year is already palpable: “We are already looking forward to the next edition of the wine festival, there is something coming!” said the club representatives.

Culinary diversity and sociable hours

The wine festival in Biberach was not only a delight for the ears and palate, but also a place for sociable hours in an autumnally decorated ambience. In addition to fine wines from the Vollmann wine shop, the offerings also included beers from the Schmid brewery in Biberach. Everyone gets their money's worth here, regardless of whether you are interested in Swabian cuisine or international wines. The event promised to be a festive highlight in the region.

Overall, the wine festival was a complete success and impressively demonstrated how important local traditions are. And as the last glass of wine was emptied and the music slowly faded away, the visitors left the hall with the feeling of having experienced something special.
