Last weekend, the members of the Konstanz carpenters' guild gathered for the autumn meeting in Stockach, where it was supposed to be twice as festive. In addition to an informative program, the agenda included the farewell to the long-standing head master Baldur Noebel, who directed the fortunes of the guild for over a decade with great commitment and dedication. An emotional highlight of the meeting was the presentation of a certificate as honorary master to Baldur Noebel. His successor praised Noebel's tireless efforts and insisted on presenting him with a pepper mill made by Martin and Sylvana Mehne as a special gift. “We thank you for your time and your tireless commitment to the guild,” were the words of the successor, which aroused many emotions.

Another exciting part of the event was the lecture by Florian Bruhin from Soudal, who discussed important protective measures when working with PU foam. The theory was followed by practice: with Jürgen Hege from Eisenpfeiffer we then went on a tour of the impressive warehouses. The modern warehouse logistics, equipped with a highly automated shuttle system on 17 levels, impressed all participants. Review of successes

As part of the meeting there was also a review of the journeyman examinations. Martin Mehne reported on a fantastic final exam with a total of 18 examinees who achieved an average of 2.1 - a great success that shows that the young talent work in the Konstanz carpenters' guild is bearing fruit. In his speech, Baldur Noebel himself recalled the difficulties and challenges that he and his colleagues had overcome during his ten years in office. “It wasn’t always easy to work with different personalities, but contact and collaboration were always at the heart of my work,” says Noebel.
