Arsons in Germany

Arson seems to be an increasingly present problem in Germany. According to statistics from the Federal Criminal Police Office, over 18,000 cases were registered between 2013 and 2024, which shows that such criminal behavior is by no means uncommon. Many of these crimes remain unsolved, making it even more important to call on the public to help. These developments shed an unpleasant light on security in our cities and communities. Nevertheless, it remains to be hoped that the clearance rate will increase through persistent investigations, as in the current case in Oberzent.

The police in Oberzent are continuing to investigate and are hoping for information from the public in order to strengthen their citizens' sense of security and prevent further arsons. Updates on the investigation will follow in due course.
