Towerstars Ravensburg: Challenging English Week is coming!
The Ravensburg Towerstars are facing an exciting week in the DEL2, which presents them with major challenges. Today, January 15, 2026, the so-called “English Week” begins for the league’s teams with a total of three games within five days. The Towerstars will first play away against the Starbulls Rosenheim on Friday, followed by a home game against the Lausitzer Füchse on Sunday. Finally, the away game against the Eispiren Crimmitschau awaits on Tuesday.
Rosenheim is currently in third place in the table and has a comfortable lead of 14 points over fourth place. But it won't be easy for the Ravensburgers, as they had to give up in two previous encounters against the Starbulls. Coach Bo Subr also warns of the challenges in Rosenheim, which could be particularly demanding for the referees, as the pressure both on the ice and in the stands is enormous.
The challenges of the week
The Towerstars' problem child is the poor player situation. Three important players are missing: Simon Sezemsky, Matej Mrazek and Nikita Kessler. To compensate for this, Baran Bruno Cicek was licensed at short notice to strengthen the goalkeeper position. On Sunday we will face the Lausitzer Füchse, who are currently in tenth place and have only gotten nine points from their last ten games. It wasn't lost on the Towerstars that they had often gotten into trouble against the Lausitz team in the past, including once leading until 35 seconds before the end.
Exciting encounters are on the horizon: The home game on Sunday will have the motto of inclusion and will welcome special guests from the Ziegler facilities. Tickets are available both in the fan shop and online and can also be purchased at the box office. If you can't make it to the stadium, you can watch the game live stream on Sporteurope.TV.
Successful Starbulls in Rosenheim
Meanwhile, things are going well for the Starbulls Rosenheim. They recently defeated the Towerstars 3-1 and celebrated their first home win of the current DEL2 season. Jordan Taupert was the undisputed match winner with two goals. In the first half of the game, however, the Rosenheimers were unable to convert their ten minutes into goals. Lewis Zerter-Gossage gave the Starbulls the lead in the 15th minute, followed by Taupert's goal in the 32nd minute. Ravensburg was able to reduce the score to 1:2 in the final third through Nick Latta, but Taupert made the final score in the 58th minute.
With a crowd of 3,408, the community in Rosenheim got the ice hockey atmosphere going. The Starbulls' next game is on Friday against the Kassel Huskies, starting at 7:30 p.m.
The coming days promise a lot of excitement for both the Towerstars and the Starbulls in the DEL2. It remains to be seen how the teams will perform in the “English Week” and whether the Ravensburgers can turn the tables.
In any case, ice hockey fever in Germany remains high and fans can look forward to exciting games. Information about other clubs in the league, such as the Bietigheim Steelers and the Eisspiraten Crimmitschau, can be found on the relevant league website del-2.org be read.
