E-scooter driver hit by tram in Fellbach – seriously injured!

On Wednesday evening, October 30, 2025, a serious accident occurred in Fellbach, which frightened everyone involved. At around 5:50 p.m., a 30-year-old e-scooter driver was crossing a level crossing on Tainer Straße near the Schwabenlandhalle when he was hit by a tram. The force of the impact was enormous, the man was seriously injured and had to be taken to hospital immediately.

The incident caused material damage of around 10,000 euros to the light rail, while around 10 passengers who were on the train at the time of the accident fortunately remained uninjured. The police confirm that the light rail route and Tainer Straße had to be closed for around an hour in order to secure the accident site and initiate the investigation.

Rescue in action

The fire department was on site with a team of 18 emergency services and three vehicles. They not only ensured that the accident site was cordoned off, but also that there was sufficient lighting so that the investigators could carry out their work under optimal conditions.
