This is the starting signal for an innovative, sustainable and resource-saving construction project that is intended to set new standards.
The concept is promising: the mobile indoor swimming pool can be dismantled after use and rebuilt at a new location. This flexible approach allows it to respond to different needs while promoting green building practices. The high level of prefabrication construction significantly reduces construction time as the modules are largely completed in the factory before being assembled on site.
Sustainability in focus
Wood plays a central role in this project. It is used not only in the load-bearing structure, but also in the facade and substructure of the stainless steel pool. In this way, the project contributes to the reduction of CO₂ emissions and promotes the development of circular construction methods. Completion of the indoor swimming pool is scheduled for mid-2026, and the dimensions of the water basin are impressive: 25 meters long and 12.5 meters wide.
Planned future locations for the mobile indoor swimming pool include Möhringen, where it will serve as a short-term replacement during the new construction of the Sonnenberg indoor swimming pool, and later also in the parking lot of the Inselbad Untertürkheim.
