The basketball fans in Ulm were able to experience an exciting competition weekend! After a weak start in the playoff final of the Basketball Bundesliga, Ratiopharm Ulm fought back against FC Bayern Basketball and won the second game 79:64. After the first loss in the series, this win was a much-needed victory that now levels the best-of-five series at 1-1. daily news reports that the standout player of the night was Karim Jallow, who contributed 23 points, 6 rebounds and 6 steals.
The game started rather hesitantly for Ulm and the team had to struggle with Bayern's strong defense. Ulm's three-point shooters couldn't find their way into the game and after the first quarter the team was only behind by one point (21:22). But the turning point came in the second quarter: Jallow gave Ulm the lead for the first time with 23:22. However, Bayern went into halftime with a score of 35:37.
Strong second half of the game
The second half opened again with fresh enthusiasm from Ulm. The third period was characterized by a strong defensive performance with only seven points for Bayern, which led to Ulm dominating the third quarter with a score of 56:44. In particular, Jallow's performance and the support from Ben Saraf, who scored 10 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists, contributed significantly to the success.
