KAB Rieden distributes 4,000 euros: supports social projects in the region!

What is happening in the market town of Rieden? The Catholic Workers' Movement (KAB) in Rieden once again donated heavily this year, supporting numerous social and cultural initiatives. At a ceremonial donation handover in the Rieden parish hall, board spokesman Peter Pilz handed over a total of 4,000 euros to various organizations. District Administrator Richard Reisinger was also present, who praised the importance of volunteer work in the region. Together, these initiatives show how much there is in the community.

KAB Rieden was founded in 1978 at the suggestion of the then pastor Georg Paulus and has since made it its mission to represent the concerns of employees. This is done through further training, employment law advice and a strong commitment to social justice. In the last three years, the association, which is an important part of the Rieden parish, has donated an impressive 11,700 euros. This support benefits the local people and promotes volunteerism in the region Central Bavarian reported.

The beneficiaries of the donations

The distribution of donations shows how broad the KAB's social commitment is. 500 euros each went to the Rieden youth fire brigade, the local helpers (HvO) and the Rieden altar boys. Elias Hollweck proudly accepted the check for the youth fire department, while Marion Hollweck represented the altar boys. HvO plans to invest in new medical devices that enable digital communication with emergency medical vehicles. This will make the work of the helpers much easier and shows how necessary such investments are.

But KAB’s commitment doesn’t end there. The “Flika” association from Amberg received 1,000 euros to support families in need, especially small patients at the St. Marien Amberg Clinic. The “Help to Help” relief fund also received 1,000 euros to support families in financial need. These payments show the social heart of the KAB Rieden and the responsibility you feel towards your own community.

A look into the future

The commitment of KAB Rieden illustrates the challenges that many people face today. The KAB is not only involved locally, but is also part of a larger international network. She is a member of the World Movement of Christian Workers (WBCA) and the European Movement of Christian Workers (EBCA) and therefore not only fights for the interests of workers in Germany, but also advocates for social and political human rights globally, such as KAB.de noted.

The KAB Rieden remains an indispensable partner in the social and charitable area of the market town and impressively demonstrates how much good can be achieved through voluntary commitment. If you would like to find out more about their work, please contact Peter Pilz on 09624/902265 to receive further information or perhaps even get actively involved.
