On November 9th, 2025 the time has come again: VfB Stuttgart welcomes FC Augsburg to the MHP Arena. Kick-off is at 5:30 p.m. For all fans who want to experience the football festival, there is some important information to keep in mind.
As s-bahn-stuttgart.de reports, construction work is ongoing until November 10th S-Bahn network between Vaihingen and Schwabstraße. Deutsche Bahn recommends that all travelers check the current connections before starting their journey. Construction work will begin on November 8th at 1:20 a.m. and end on November 10th at 4 a.m. This means there are some restrictions for the S-Bahn lines S1 to S5: The S1 only runs between Kirchheim (Teck) and Stuttgart-Schwabstraße and between Stuttgart-Vaihingen and Herrenberg. The S2 and S3 are also restricted.
Special trains and replacement services
In order to make it easier for fans to travel to the game, a replacement bus service (line SEV1) will be set up between Stuttgart main station and Stuttgart-Vaihingen every 10 minutes. There are also special trains for the journey: the S1 to Schwabstraße departs from Plochingen at 3:48 p.m., while the return journey from Neckarpark is offered at 7:42 p.m. and 8:12 p.m.
The tickets for the game are also valid as tickets for all VVS means of transport in the VVS network, which makes travel particularly uncomplicated for football fans. It is recommended to use public transport in combination with the KombiTicket.

The design comes from an impressive choreography by the VfB fans, which was shown at the last game of the season. The S-Bahn now runs through the city with the motif and brings enthusiasm for the club to the streets of Stuttgart. Stuttgarter Nachrichten has published a photo of the creatively designed railway.
