Bamberg Baskets fight against Ulm: home win in sight?
On Sunday, November 1st, 2025, an exciting basketball duel will take place in the Graf-Stauffenberg-Halle in Bamberg. The Bamberg Baskets welcome BBU '01 Ulm on the fifth matchday of the Toyota 2nd Women's Basketball Bundesliga. After a convincing home win against Freiburg II and a narrow defeat after overtime against Bad Homburg, the Bamberg women have big plans: They are aiming for their second home win in a row.
Looking at the table, Ulm is under pressure. After four games, the Ulm women are still without a win and are in last place. With significant defeats - including against Würzburg (48:76), Heidelberg (61:73), Dillingen (43:63) and Stuttgart (56:81) - they are having a hard time asserting themselves in the competition. Head coach Samuel Gloser warns of the underestimated danger that Ulm poses. "We can't take them lightly. They will give everything to get their first win of the season," explains Gloser and demands pressure from his team in the build-up game and more consistency in the finish.
Bamberg strengths and weaknesses
Bamberg currently has a rebound statistic of 33.8 rebounds per game, while Ulm is only slightly better off with an average of 34.3 rebounds. Where Bamberg has clear advantages, however, is in ball utilization: Ulm causes an average of 27.5 ball losses per game, Bamberg has 18. At Ulm, Anneke Schlüter is the team leader in points with 16.3 points per game and an efficiency of 15.0. The opponent's best rebounder is Sandrin Renner, who has 7.5 rebounds per game.
Ticket sales have already started: Fans can buy their tickets online, in the Freak City Store at the BROSE ARENA or at the box office. A good place to support the women of Bamberg should therefore be secured!
The pendulum is swinging in Ludwigsburg
At the same time, the Young BSG Basket Ladies are hosting their fourth game of the season in Ludwigsburg, which they successfully concluded with a clear 88:41 win against Ulm. The hosts showed from the start that they not only wanted to win, but also wanted to dominate. A strong first quarter finish and first-class defense characterized the entire game.
Under the command of coach Sascha Schuster, the young ladies were able to impress with a unified team performance. Five players scored in double figures, while the defense made a splash with 16 steals. The number of rebounds captured was particularly impressive: 70 in total, 40 of which were offensive.
With this strong performance, the Young Ladies consolidated their position and have the chance to shine again on January 19th against the current league leaders RegioTeam Stuttgart.
There's a lot going on in the basketball scene, and this weekend's games are likely to be trend-setting for the Bamberg women and the Young BSG Basket Ladies. All eyes are on the court!
