Festa Italica: Bayreuth celebrates the Italian joy of life!

A touch of Italy will soon blow through Bayreuth! From August 27th to 31st, 2025, the city will be transformed into a lively Italian piazza. The “Festa Italica” event, organized by the event company Zametzer and Krohn in close collaboration with the city of Bayreuth, promises to make it possible to experience Italian culture in all its facets. Mayor Thomas Ebersberger took over the patronage and declared his commitment to this enthusiastic celebration.

What can visitors expect? At the festival site, which is located in the heart of the pedestrian zone, you will be welcomed by traditional elements such as a classic Vespa and an antique wine press. These original details are part of the concept of making Italy not only a culinary but also a visual experience. The essence of “la dolce vita” is transferred to the streets of Bayreuth through music, food and drinks. Kurier emphasizes that visitors can enjoy around 20 different Italian wines, accompanied by refreshing mixed drinks such as Aperol Spritz and Limoncello Spritz.

A feast for the senses

The “Festa Italica” will also be a culinary highlight. The atmospheric atmosphere is enhanced by delicious Italian dishes. From antipasti to pasta al forno to pizza and sweet dolci, everything is there. Visitors can look forward to authentic Italian dishes that come straight from home and embody the Italian lifestyle. Festa Italica highlights the culture, food and music of Bella Italia and invites everyone to dance and sing along.

An entertaining live program is presented on each of the festival days. The opening starts on Wednesday, August 27th at 6 p.m. with the well-known Italian and party band G2. Thursday is all about Italian classics with the band Carbonara, followed by a happy Friday with Marco Augusto and his group. Saturday will be more colorful when Mona La Banda will put you in a good mood with Italo-Rock-Pop, while the Rossinis will provide a mix of Italian and rock sounds towards the evening. The crowning finale on Sunday is the father-son duo Dad'n Son, followed by Morenos, who interpret Italian icons.
