On October 26, 2025, the Onesto Tigers Bayreuth defeated SC Riessersee 6:4 in an exciting game. In front of 1,331 enthusiastic spectators, it was a mixed game that was in jeopardy several times. After three defeats in a row, the Tigers finally showed their best side and were able to collect important points in the table.

The Tigers were able to take the lead in the first third with a goal from Sam Verelst, which came after a precise shot from Spacek. Despite good chances for the hosts, including from Soudek and Dibelka, Bayreuth maintained their defensive stability and went into the first break with a 1-0 lead.

Exciting final phase

The final third began with the change of Riesserseer goalkeeper Patrik Mühlberger, who was replaced by Andi Mechel. The tension in the game remained high: Jannick Stein scored the goal to make it 4:5 in the 50th minute. But the Tigers were determined to defend their lead. They survived a critical five-minute deficit without penalty and showed strong nerves.

The statistics of the game show that the Tigers were able to achieve a power play efficiency of 25% (1 goal from 4 opportunities), while Riessersee did not convert a single goal from five power plays.
