A rear-end collision in Tauberfelder Grund, which occurred on October 4th, 2025 at around 4:30 p.m. on the B 13, affected several people involved. Loud Nettle A 78-year-old man and his 75-year-old wife from the Eichstätt district as well as a 60-year-old man from Ingolstadt, who is considered to be the cause of the accident, had to be taken to hospital with minor injuries. The 396-year-old man wanted to turn left at an intersection and stopped when the 60-year-old overlooked him and drove head-on into the stationary vehicle.
The material damage is not without its consequences: around 35,000 euros are estimated for both vehicles, which were no longer drivable after the collision and therefore had to be towed away. The impact also led to leakage of fuel, which was not only problematic for the vehicles, but also resulted in the B 13 being completely closed while the accident was being investigated. The volunteer fire departments from Eitensheim and Pietenfeld were on site to secure the situation and regulate traffic.
