Heart Week Lecture: Protect your heart from the dangers of CHD!

On Tuesday, November 18, 2025, an exciting Heart Week lecture will take place at the Education Center for Health Professions in Erding. Under the title “Coronary heart disease (CHD) and heart attack” there will be comprehensive information about the causes, dangers, prevention, detection and treatment of cardiovascular diseases from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. At this point it should be mentioned that cardiovascular diseases are the most common cause of death in Germany, responsible for around 40 percent of all deaths, as the RKI emphasizes (RKI).

The lecture is free for anyone interested and registration is not required. Two experts in cardiology are available as speakers: Dr. Bott-Flügel, the medical director and chief physician for cardiology and pulmonology at the Erding District Hospital, as well as Dr. Carsten Kopf, cardiologist at the Erding Medical Campus. Furthermore, Dr. Robert Bayer, doctor in training in cardiology, will provide insights. (ED Live)

Cardiovascular diseases – A far-reaching problem

As the RKI explains, cardiovascular diseases have an enormous impact not only on the people affected, but also on society. The results are high medical costs and significant individual consequences of illness. The most important diseases include coronary heart disease, heart attack and stroke. Certain risk factors such as high blood pressure, diabetes, unhealthy diet and lack of exercise can be influenced and can be reduced through health-conscious behavior or drug therapies. This shows that prevention has great potential here.

As always, if you have any health questions, going to the doctor is the best way to go. The upcoming lecture offers a perfect opportunity to receive important information first hand. The event takes place in the multi-purpose room no. 004, foyer ground floor of the education center for health professions at Bajuwarenstrasse 9 in Erding. (ED Live)

In the big, colorful world of health care, we must not forget that prevention begins with a healthy lifestyle. This not only includes regular exercise, but also enjoying a healthy diet. In this way, you can actively counteract the risks that cardiovascular diseases bring with them into old age.
