An exciting year for the Bayernliga is coming! The 2025/26 season starts on July 20, 2025 and brings with it some changes. In both relays – North and South – only 17 teams are taking part in the race this year. This is a little surprising, as there are normally 18 teams per season, reducing the minimum number to 36. - FC Coburg
- FC Sportfreunde Schwaig
- FC 1920 Gundelfingen
In addition, the runners-up FSV Stadeln and TuS Geretsried have also made it into the Bayernliga. On the other hand, the regional league relegated FC Eintracht Bamberg and Türkgücü Munich will play in their respective seasons, although they will not meet each other.
