Topping-out ceremony in Kaufbeuren: 218 subsidized apartments for families!

Something is happening in Kaufbeuren when it comes to housing construction! Two days ago, the topping-out ceremony was celebrated for a new residential project on Füssener Straße, which includes 218 subsidized apartments. This will be a real ray of hope for singles, couples and families with low to medium incomes. Loud Konii The residential area will be built on a spacious plot of 20,000 m² and is expected to be completed in 2026.

The project, in cooperation with Ten Brinke and BayernHeim, focuses on sustainability and efficiency. The new apartments meet the Efficiency House 55 standard and should use up to 45 percent less primary energy than conventional construction projects. Another highlight is the planned residents' parking garage with 248 parking spaces, which is intended to create a quiet atmosphere in the residential area.

Funding for social housing

Kaufbeuren also benefits from the broad support of the Bavarian funding programs. In the last two years, the Free State of Bavaria has provided 2.2 billion euros for subsidized housing construction, which represents the highest level of funding in history. On stmb.bayern.de you can read that the support benefits both private and public developers, housing companies and building cooperatives.

Funding is provided through low-interest building loans and subsidies for rental and cooperative apartments in multi-family buildings. This means that apartments can continue to be affordable for low- and middle-income households. Anyone interested in one of the apartments needs a certificate of residence entitlement, which is issued by the district offices or independent cities.

Benefits and sustainability

With a total of 16,100 m² of living space, the new units are spread over six buildings, which consist of four full floors and one staggered floor. The shell construction work has already been completed on three of the six buildings, while progress is already well advanced on the others. In order not to neglect environmental protection, a 700 m² replacement habitat for sand lizards is being created, which shows that construction is being done here with a sense of nature.

In the end, everyone benefits from this comprehensive project - the future residents, the environment and, last but not least, the city of Kaufbeuren itself. Those interested can also find further information about this housing project on the website Goergens Real Estate.
