Landsberg Christmas Market 2025: Festive opening on November 28th!
The festive season is about to begin in the tranquil town of Landsberg am Lech: The Landsberg Christmas market opens its doors on Friday, November 28th, 2025. Visitors can look forward to the festively decorated old town and a colorful program until December 21st. The opening will take place at 4:00 p.m., followed by a celebratory speech by Mayor Doris Baumgartl at 4:30 p.m.
The heart of the market beats in the Landsberg old town, with stalls that can be found in the pedestrian zone, the main square, Roßmarkt and Infanterieplatz. Around 80 retailers offer a variety of items, including handmade Christmas decorations, nativity scene accessories, jewelry and essential treats such as mulled wine, bratwurst and chestnuts. The Christmas-decorated stalls will put visitors in a festive mood.
A colorful program for young and old
The younger guests in particular comeChrist child, which is looking to get to know the children in the Christkindlhäusl on Georg-Hellmair-Platz, at their expense. Here you can post letters to the Christ child and watch the prologue, which is read by the Christ child, in the historic town hall. In addition, a large Christmas tree in the main square will be lit up together.
A highlight for the children will be Santa Claus, who will visit the market on Friday, December 5th at 5:00 p.m. The Landsberg primary schools also sing Advent songs on Georg-Hellmair-Platz on Mondays, which creates a wonderful Christmas atmosphere.
Special offers and events
The organizers have also come up with special promotions: Monday will be celebrated as Seniors' Day with special offers and Tuesday will be celebrated as Family Day. Other attractions include a children's carousel and a children's railway on the infantry square. The “sweet 60s” also invite you to sing Advent songs together on three Mondays (December 1st, December 8th and December 15th).
