Deggendorfer SC impressively demonstrated on the last matchday that they are currently in top form. On September 28, 2025, the Deggendorf team defeated the Bayreuth Tigers 8-2 in the Hitzkopf Arena. 2,442 spectators came to this encounter to witness a true goal spectacle. Silvan Heiß provided the first highlight of the evening in the first minute, followed by a shorthander from Marco Baßler in the third minute, which increased the score to 2-0. Dylan Jackson and Petr Stloukal contributed to the additional goals in the first half before Ondrej Pozivil and Ty Jackson extended the lead to 6-0 in the second period.

The Tigers managed to shorten the lead to 6:2 thanks to Dominik Piskor and Michal Spacek, but the Deggendorfers were undeterred and tied the bag with further goals from Dante Hahn and Lars Berger. Coach Casey Fratkin had to do without several key players, including Jaroslav Hafenrichter and Brett Humberstone. Nevertheless, the team didn't let anything go wrong and secured a place in the upper table region with this victory.

Strong competition in ice hockey

Deggendorfer SC is now in second place in the league, just one point behind Selber Wölfe. Their local rivals, the Passau Black Hawks, also won and are currently in third place. The Black Hawks won their home game against the Erding Gladiators 6:5. Christoph Schmidt contributed three goals to the win and was extremely satisfied with his performance. On Friday the Deggendorf team will also play against the Memminger Indians - the fans can look forward to another exciting duel.
