District youth fire brigade camp 2025: Adventure, games and fire brigade fun!
In a few days the time has come: the district youth fire brigade camp 2025 opens its doors from June 19th to 22nd in Dorfprozelten. This event is a highlight in the annual calendar for many young fire service enthusiasts, and anticipation is already building. Meeting like-minded people from different communities will be an unforgettable experience for the participants, as the camp promises an exciting mix of community spirit, learning and fun.
This year the camp is being organized at the festival site in Dorfprozelten, where a small town of tents is being built on a large meadow to meet the needs of all participating young people. On the day of arrival, June 19th, the day begins at 9 a.m. with registration and the youth warden meeting to draw the services. This is followed by setting up the tent and setting up the camp before the official camp opening is celebrated in the festival hall in the evening. Here, district youth officer Nico Kirchgessner will give some greetings, including from mayor Elisabeth Steger and deputy district administrator Günther Oettinger. The evening ends with district fire officer Martin Spilger lighting the campfire, followed by a shared camp photo.
Diverse program for all participants
On the first full day of camp, June 20th, things start early with breakfast at 7:30 a.m. Afterwards, an exciting village rally is on the agenda, where participants can test their knowledge of fire service history. Other highlights of the day include the district competitions, where the competitive spirit is awakened in disciplines such as box running and tubular weaving. Everyone enjoys the evening at a camp disco with non-alcoholic cocktails and music, and a pong and volleyball tournament also provides plenty of entertainment.
The next day, June 21st, even more exciting activities await. It starts early before breakfast, followed by a day of training that takes place at various stations. In the evening things finally get serious: a camp court meets to punish rule violations. In an unexpected twist, the Night Watch causes excitement when an attack on the camp is prevented.
Big graduation party
The last day of the camp, June 22nd, offers exciting games and the opportunity to say goodbye. After breakfast and the dismantling of the tent camp, the celebratory award ceremony takes place. The participants in the village rally and the district competitions are honored for their achievements. The rankings are as follows:
| Village rally | District competitions |
|---|---|
| 1. Bürgstadt | 1. Great Wall City |
| 2. Elsenfeld | 2. Obernburg/Eisenbach |
| 3. Great Wall City | 3. Roll field |
What is particularly impressive is the commitment of everyone involved and supporters, including local companies such as Catering Waldeck, Bakery Seus, and the Dorfprozelten association, all of which contribute to making this event a complete success. These types of camps, held annually in a different community, are more than just a recreational activity. They offer a space for experiences in nature, strengthen cooperation and raise awareness of teamwork and social responsibility.
As the Jugendfeuerwehr emphasizes, such events are important learning areas that represent a valuable experience not only for the young people, but also for the carers. A good exchange is encouraged and everyday life is left behind for a few days in order to experience great adventures together. The supervisor's duty of supervision and thorough preparation are a given.
With an exciting program and many activities, the 2025 tent camp in Dorfprozelten will definitely be an experience that will be remembered for a long time. Preparations are in full swing and we can all look forward to a colorful and entertaining event. Stay tuned for more updates and stories straight from camp!
