Circular economy in focus: event for Pfaffenhofen companies!

In the Pfaffenhofen region everything will soon revolve around the topic of circular economy. On Thursday, November 13th, the municipal company Structural Development District Pfaffenhofen a.d.Ilm (KUS) invites all companies to the event “Circular Economy in Focus: Perspectives, Potential, Practice”. From 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., a platform will be created in the Pörnbach Citizens' Hall, Ingolstädter Str. 1, which not only encourages exchange, but also shows concrete options for action. Participation is free, but due to limited places, registration is required by November 10th. This can be found online at www.kus-pfaffenhofen.de/anmelde take place.

The event is aimed at companies from all sectors and focuses on the exchange of experiences and best practices. There will be keynote speeches and practical examples from the Institute for Applied Sustainability (inas) that will shed light on the diverse approaches to the circular economy. Discussion rounds will also create space for intensive dialogue about circular economic models. The aim is to encourage participants to actively implement the circular economy and to recognize it as an opportunity for sustainable business. “We would like to show companies how they can not only reduce their costs through effective use of resources and innovation, but also contribute to environmental protection,” said the organizers.

Circular economy – a path to greater sustainability

The current consumption of resources in the linear economy has immense negative environmental consequences. The extraction and processing of natural resources are largely responsible for the increase in greenhouse gas emissions, the loss of biodiversity and high water consumption. A transformation towards a circular economy could counteract this. How Fraunhofer IPK reports, it shows that many companies are already recognizing the opportunities that a circular economy offers for their business model. However, there is often still a lack of the required specialist knowledge and the assessment of the economic consequences of this change.

In order to make economies circular, appropriate regulatory frameworks and innovative business models are required. Current studies show that many companies are interested in the circular economy, but often do not yet have the necessary knowledge to successfully adapt their business models. This is where the event comes in: It is intended to provide impulses and promote exchange among companies.

The event on November 13th is not only an information platform, but also a step in the right direction to support the change to a more sustainable economy. So if you want to invest with a good hand in the future of your company, you shouldn't miss it!
