Stephan Leibl: Golden Badge of Honor for 20 years of settler commitment!
In the picturesque Klardorf, a remarkable information event by the Schwandorf residential property association recently took place in the Obermeiner restaurant. The district chairman Franz Heininger and the deputy district chairmen Hans-Jürgen Meier and Bernhard Jobst were present to inform the community of over 3,800 members about important topics. The commitment of Stephan Leibl, who fought for two decades as deputy chairman of the Schwandorf settlers' community, was also recognized.
“It is important to us to advance the development of our settler communities,” emphasized Heininger in his speech. The district association extends from Wernberg to Neutraubling and from Schwandorf to Schönsee, which illustrates the wide influence and responsibility of the representation for local property owners. The established community primarily brings together homeowners who are committed to family-friendly and affordable home ownership, in keeping with the spirit of the Verband Wohnimmobilien e. V., which is the largest advocacy group for owner-occupied homeowners in Germany, with around 310,000 member families.
Honor for many years of commitment
Stephan Leibl was awarded the association's Gold Medal of Honor for his remarkable commitment. This honor underlines the importance and commitment he has made over the last 20 years. Leibl, who is also deputy chairman of the Schwandorf settlers' community, has made a significant contribution to the promotion and preservation of owner-occupied home ownership. “Home ownership not only ensures security, but also promotes social interaction in our community,” says Leibl.
The event also provided information about planned changes within the association. Hans-Jürgen Meier spoke about an upcoming increase in contributions, which is to be decided in October. This measure is considered necessary to compensate for the decline in membership and increasing costs. Bernhard Jobst explained to the members the insurance benefits of the VWE Bavarian regional association included in the contribution. “It is important that our members are well protected and get the support they need,” concluded Jobst.
Networking and support for members
The information event also offered a platform for the exchange of ideas and requirements. The local chairmen presented a catalog of requirements on various topics, aiming for politically neutral positions. This shows how the association actively participates in politics through local branches and represents the interests of its members.
The origins of the Wohnproperty Association e. V. go back a long way to 1919, when the first free working group was founded to create settlement opportunities for war participants. Over the years, the association has consistently advocated for the creation of housing and support for homeowners, which is important now more than ever. The association not only offers advice on topics such as construction, renovation and energy efficiency, but is also committed to climate-friendly and sustainable development in housing construction.
Overall, the event in Klardorf shows how important it is for members to actively participate in the design of their settlements. Promoting home ownership as a place for families and communities has not lost its relevance - on the contrary.
